Gas Price Fixing
Here is evidence that some people should not be allowed to vote: 42% of Americans feel that Bush administration has been driving down gas prices in order to gain an advantage in November’s election. I think that anyone who harbors this particular view should be excluded on the grounds that they don’t have enough good sense to make choices that could affect the rest of the nation.
Of course, the belief that the GOP will do better when gas prices are lower is true, but only because the voting public irrationally blames Bush when gas prices go up. I’m sure that the respondents to this poll are the same people that said the president and “Big Oil” or his “cronies” (there’s a word that the left really loves) in the oil business drove up the price of oil all summer. The next thing that you know they will be saying that the administration has fixed the stock market so that it will hit multi-year highs prior to the election. It’s all a part of the vast right wing conspiracy.
