Selective Pallet Rack Capacity
Assuming that you know exactly at what type of racking you are looking (if you don't, check this page), you may desire to determine the capacity of those components. I have linked to several documents that I used in the past to determine capacities of racking I was investigating. It would be easier if I were to put this information on the page here, and I recognize that, except that most, if not all of these documents, are copyrighted and so I don't want to infringe upon anyone's intellectual property rights. There is also the possibility that there could be future publications of errata of which I may or may not be knowledgable, which would create a possibility that I would disseminate incorrect information, and I would like to avoid that if at all possible. As far as I know, all of the links here contain up-to-date information.
Notes on Rack Capacity
As you will be able to see on the pages to which I have linked here, the strength of rack uprights (some people call them frames) are largely influenced by the unsupported length of those uprights. If you are familiar with the priciples behind column strength calculations, this will come as no surprise, but it may not be incredibly obvious otherwise.
